On 9 December 2020, Jean Monnet Chair COAWARE at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University organized a webinar in cooperation with European Parliament Turkey Forum. This event aimed to discuss the state of play of Turkey – EU relations before the European Council Summit.

The guest speaker was Laura Batalla Adam from European Parliament Turkey Forum and she presented her ideas around some subtopics like the European Union’s priorities and membership perspective, the update of Customs Union, visa liberalization, refugee crisis, and other ongoing developments during that period. She has also talked about the question of “How to overcome the current problems in Turkey – EU relations?” and about the conditionality and continuity of Turkey – EU relations.
